3 top tips to prevent a flexible braided hose bursting.

Follow these 3 tips to help prevent an emergency burst water pipe at your home.

1) Check the expiry tag on your flexible braided hose and get a plumber to inspect every 2 years.

A flexible hose has a maximum expected age of 10 years, although some flexible braided hoses burst well before this.

2) Don’t store harsh chemicals near your flexible braided hose as this could cause the flexible braided hose to fail faster than expected.

3) Never install a flexible braided hose yourself. A professional plumber should always do this specialised work.
